Coming and Going
Try to time your arrival between 3 and 5pm and your departure before 11am.
Accessibility
The entry and entire first floor of Prospect Street are on grade, with an ADA accessible bedroom with ensuite bathroom in the Gray Suite. The second floor contains no programming space. Please alert us to any mobility issues.
Travel to Prospect Street
Prospect Street Writers House at 20 Prospect Street, North Bennington is easily accessible by car, with estimated travel times: Boston – 3½ hours, New York City – 4 hours, Montreal – 4 hours, and Philadelphia – 5+ hours.
Train from NYC – Book straight through to Bennington via Amtrak. This ticket involves changing to a bus at the Albany station. The trip last five hours.
Arriving at Albany airport? Regular bus service to Bennington can be booked through https://vttranslines.com. Just let us know ahead of time and we’ll pick you up at the Bennington bus station.
An Uber from Albany costs about $80. Ubers back to Albany on departure day are nearly impossible to book, however, there are local car services available. Book in advance.
