Prospect Street Writers House prides itself in being a resource to the local community for literary and non-literary gatherings.

To date we have hosted local writing workshops, a local film society, a book group sponsored by the Bennington Museum, the North Bennington Roundtable, John G. McCullough Free Library, House Wren Studio workshops, Beyond Plastics, Vermont Arts Exchange, the New York Six Liberal Arts Consortium, and other projects.

Though many of our joint community activities are daytime, bear in mind that the Writers House is available to house overnight guests. While it is difficult to host such events during residency months, please inquire anyway. With flexibility, there may be a period of downtime that will work for both of us. Costs vary according to the resources of the Writers House you might require.
